January 25, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87112 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM) and the host Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Santa Fe's basketball squad hold off Manzano by a tally of 53-50.
With the victory, Santa Fe improves its record to 12-7 on the campaign. The Demons host Capital (Santa Fe, NM) to play the Jaguars in a 5A District 5 challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a record of 12-6. Capital lost 60-43 in their recent league challenge against Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM)
Next up, the Monarchs play the Albuquerque Bulldogs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Manzano will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-15 record after their 58-43 league loss to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM).
