Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) and the host West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), saw North Stanly's basketball squad overcome West Stanly by a tally of 62-44.

With the victory, North Stanly improves its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC) to confront the Knights in a 1A/2A Yadkin Valley challenge on Friday, February 2. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 7-8.
