The Northampton County Jaguars basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings to 53 in the Jaguars league triumph on Friday.

The Jaguars now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hertford County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Northampton County will meet a Bears team coming off a 76-67 league win over Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Bears record now stands at 12-4.

The Vikings (2-16) will now prepare for their contest against Wilson Prep (Wilson, NC). The Tigers enter the 1A Tar Roanoke contest with a 12-3 record.
