Maryland High School Basketball - Rising Sun trounces Joppatowne

January 27, 2022: North East, MD 21901

The Rising Sun Tigers (North East, MD) basketball crushed the visiting Joppatowne Mariners (Joppa, MD), 51-12 in Thursday's league test.

The Tigers (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Elkton (Elkton, MD). The Golden Elks go into the Upper Chesapeake Bay - Chesapeake test with a 8-4 record.

The Mariners now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they host Bel Air for a non-league test on Friday, January 28. Joppatowne will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 51-28 league loss to Fallston (Fallston, MD). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-10.
