Virginia High School Basketball - Albemarle crushes Monticello
January 27, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22902 Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 81-45 in a league bout.
With the win, Albemarle upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Patriots host Goochland (Goochland, VA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a Jefferson bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 0-16. Goochland lost 71-49 in their recent league bout against Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Orange County Fighting Hornets (Orange, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Fighting Hornets go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 52-37 league win over Louisa County (Mineral, VA).
