Virginia High School Basketball - Albemarle overwhelms Goochland
January 3, 2023: Goochland, VA 23063 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) and the host Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA), saw Albemarle's basketball squad wallop Goochland by a tally of 98-30.
With the victory, Albemarle improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Patriots host Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA) to confront the Blue Streaks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Blue Streaks come into the challenge with a record of 0-7.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson challenge, on Friday, January 6. Goochland will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Flying Flucos come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 67-51 league loss to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA).
