Virginia High School Basketball - Albemarle crushes Monticello
January 6, 2023: Charlottesville, VA 22901 Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Monticello Mustangs (Charlottesville, VA), 77-36 in a league bout.
With the win, Albemarle upgrades its record to 10-1 on the season. The Patriots travel to Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA) to clash with the Blue Streaks in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 7. The Blue Streaks go into the bout with a record of 0-9. Harrisonburg lost 82-62 in their recent league bout against Rockbridge County (Lexington, VA)
Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Fluvanna County Flying Flucos (Palmyra, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 1-9 season record.
