Texas High School Basketball - Blackwell can't hold off Bronte
January 27, 2023: Blackwell, TX 79506 The Bronte Longhorns basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Blackwell Hornets to 38 in the Longhorns league victory on Friday.
The Longhorns now sport a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Robert Lee for a 1A Region II District 11 contest on Tuesday, January 31. Bronte will battle a Steers team coming off a 55-28 league loss to Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Steers record now stands at 10-16.
The Hornets (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Garden City (Garden City, TX). The Bearkats come into the 1A Region II District 11 contest with a 15-5 record.
