Maine High School Basketball - Caribou overwhelms Mount Desert Island
January 27, 2023: Caribou, ME 04736 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Caribou Vikings (Caribou, ME) and the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), saw Caribou's basketball squad wallop Mount Desert Island by a tally of 72-46.
With the victory, Caribou improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Vikings host Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME) to play the Eagles in a B North challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-1. Ellsworth won 64-57 in their recent league challenge against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME)
Next up, the Trojans play the Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) in a B North challenge, on Saturday, January 28. Mount Desert Island will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 64-57 league loss to Ellsworth (Ellsworth, ME).
