Ipswich Tigers (Ipswich, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Rockport Vikings (Rockport, MA), 69-65 in a league bout.

With the win, Ipswich upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Tigers travel to Triton Regional (Byfield, MA) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-7.

Next up, the Vikings play the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Rockport will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Clippers go into the bout with a 6-5 record after their 66-58 league win over North Reading (North Reading, MA).
