The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes basketball team (Abingdon, IL), dropped 49-36 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL)

The Golden Eagles now possess a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] for a Lincoln Trail battle on Tuesday, February 7. Mercer County will confront a Spartans team coming off a 53-46 non-league loss to Annawan (Annawan, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 5-19.
