Farmington Farmers (Farmington, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes (Abingdon, IL), 55-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Farmington upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Farmers host Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL) to play the Flying Geese in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 17. The Flying Geese go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Tornadoes play the Pleasant Plains Cardinals (Pleasant Plains, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Abingdon/Avon will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 3-0 record after their 68-54 non-league win over Deer Creek-Mackinaw (Mackinaw, IL).
