Virginia High School Basketball - Virginia Episcopal School overwhelms New Covenant

The Virginia Episcopal School Bishops basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting New Covenant Gryphons to 19 in the Bishops league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bishops now possess a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Roanoke Catholic for a VISAA Blue Ridge game on Monday, February 3. Virginia Episcopal School will play a Celtics team coming off a 23-20 non-league win over Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA). The Celtics record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, New Covenant falls to 10-6 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy (Moneta, VA) to play the Ospreys in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Ospreys go into the game with a record of 11-3. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy lost 47-44 in their recent league game against Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA)
