Arizona High School Basketball - Metro Tech overwhelmed by Fairfax

January 29, 2025: Phoenix, AZ 85105

In Wednesday's league test, the Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) basketball squad trounced the host Metro Tech Knights (Phoenix, AZ), by a score of 68-31.

Next, the Stampede encounter the McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ) in a 5A Metro test, on Tuesday, February 4. Fairfax will attempt to improve on its 8-15 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 9-12 record after their 58-43 non-league win over Arizona College Prep (Chandler, AZ).

The Knights (1-22) will now prepare for their test against Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ). The Lions come into the 5A Metro test with a 2-19 record. In their last test, Alhambra was routed by Fairfax (Laveen, AZ), 70-36, in a league test.
