Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), 56-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Carson upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Cougars host Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to play the Trojans in a 3A Conference 48 bout on Friday, January 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Northwest Cabarrus lost 57-47 in their recent non-league game against Concord (Concord, NC)

With the defeat, A.L. Brown moves to 1-9 on the year. The Wonders host West Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to face the Wolverines in a 4A Conference 57 game on Wednesday, January 4. The Wolverines enter the game with a record of 8-2. West Cabarrus won 68-62 in their recent non-league game against Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC)
