The Carson Cougars basketball team (China Grove, NC), was overwhelmed 63-39 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Concord Spiders (Concord, NC)

The Spiders now possess a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Rowan for a 3A Conference 48 battle on Tuesday, January 31. Concord will confront a Raiders team coming off a 89-32 league loss to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-17.

The Cougars (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans come into the 3A Conference 48 battle with a 9-8 record. In their last battle, Northwest Cabarrus was overwhelmed by West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 59-51, in a league battle.
