Maryland High School Basketball - Great Mills routs La Plata

January 3, 2025: La Plata, MD 20646

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Great Mills Hornets basketball team scored a big 61-24 triumph over the La Plata Warriors.

The Hornets (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams go into the Southern Maryland contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, McDonough was trounced by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 60-14, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Warriors battle the Calvert Cavaliers (Prince Frederick, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Wednesday, January 8. La Plata will attempt to better on its 1-6 season record. The Cavaliers go into the contest with a 2-6 record after their 65-13 league loss to St. Charles (Waldorf, MD).
