The Great Mills Hornets basketball squad (Great Mills, MD), was crushed 52-27 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Leonardtown Raiders (Leonardtown, MD)

With the victory, Leonardtown advances its record to 18-1 on the year. The Raiders host Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD) to meet the Cavaliers in a Southern Maryland battle on Wednesday, February 19. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a record of 7-12.

The Hornets now own a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chopticon for a Southern Maryland battle on Tuesday, February 18. Great Mills will meet a Braves squad coming off a 49-46 league win over La Plata (La Plata, MD). The Braves record now stands at 10-9.
