Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD), 55-13 in a league match.

With the victory, Great Mills upgrades its record to 9-6 on the year. The Hornets travel to Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to face the Wolverines in a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, February 5. The Wolverines enter the match with a record of 4-11. Westlake lost 36-24 in their recent league match against Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD)

The Panthers now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to La Plata for a Southern Maryland match on Wednesday, February 5. Patuxent will face a Warriors squad coming off a 69-40 league loss to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Warriors record now stands at 2-14.
