Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon succumbs to Great Mills

February 18, 2025: Morganza, MD 20660

In Tuesday's league test, the Great Mills Hornets (Great Mills, MD) basketball squad defeated the host Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD), by a final score of 52-34.

Next, the Hornets clash with the St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland test, on Wednesday, February 19. Great Mills will attempt to upgrade on its 11-8 season record. The come into the test with a 13-6 record after their 48-28 league win over Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD).

The Braves (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD). The Hurricanes come into the Southern Maryland test with a 16-2 record. In their last test, Huntingtown overcame Lackey (Indian Head, MD), 54-22, in a league test.
