Hemingford Bobcats (Hemingford, NE) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hay Springs Hawks (Hay Springs, NE), 72-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Hemingford upgrades its record to 8-10 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Mitchell (Mitchell, NE) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 2. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 5-12. Mitchell lost 71-33 in their recent non-league bout against Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE)

Next up, the Hawks play the Hyannis Longhorns (Hyannis, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, February 3. Hay Springs will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Longhorns come into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 45-37 non-league loss to Sandhills/Thedford (Dunning, NE).
