California High School Basketball - Taft fells McFarland

January 30, 2024: McFarland, CA 93250

Taft Wildcats (Taft, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host McFarland Cougars (McFarland, CA), 57-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Taft upgrades its record to 9-13 on the season. The Wildcats host Chavez (Delano, CA) to clash with the Titans in a South Sequoia bout on Thursday, February 1. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 11-9. Chavez won 56-28 in their recent league bout against Wasco (Wasco, CA)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Kennedy Thunderbirds (Delano, CA) in a South Sequoia bout, on Thursday, February 1. McFarland will attempt to upgrade on its 5-20 season record. The Thunderbirds go into the bout with a 9-15 record after their 46-29 non-league loss to East Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA).
