Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Mustangs (Hector, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds (New Ulm, MN), 84-73 in a league bout.

With the win, Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Springfield (Springfield, MN) to clash with the Tigers in a A Section 2 bout on Friday, February 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Springfield won 67-64 in their recent league bout against Cedar Mountain (Morgan, MN)

Next up, the Greyhounds clash with the Sleepy Eye Indians (Sleepy Eye, MN) in a A Section 2 bout, on Friday, February 3. New Ulm Cathedral will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-10 record after their 62-45 non-league win over Wabasso (Wabasso, MN).
