The Central Valley Academy Thunder basketball squad (Ilion, NY), was nudged 68-64 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY)

With the victory, Holland Patent advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Golden Knights host Vernon-Verona-Sherrill (Verona, NY) to meet the Red Devils in a Section 3 Tri-Valley - Pioneer battle on Tuesday, February 4. The Red Devils enter the battle with a record of 3-12.

The Thunder now own a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proctor for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 4. Central Valley Academy will meet a Raiders squad coming off a 73-60 non-league loss to Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 5-7.
