Maryland High School Basketball - Damascus crushes Rockville
January 4, 2024: Damascus, MD 20872 Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Rockville Rams (Rockville, MD), 66-32 in a league bout.
With the victory, Damascus upgrades its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Watkins Mill (Gaithersburg, MD) to play the Wolverines in a Montgomery 3A/2A North bout on Monday, January 8. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 1-9. Watkins Mill lost 60-48 in their recent league bout against Magruder (Rockville, MD)
Next up, the Rams play the Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 8. Rockville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 86-76 league win over Blake (Silver Spring, MD).
