Poolesville Falcons (Poolesville, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Damascus Hornets (Damascus, MD), 48-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Poolesville upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Falcons host Magruder (Rockville, MD) to play the Colonels in a Montgomery 3A/2A North bout on Monday, January 8. The Colonels come into the bout with a record of 5-1.

Next up, the Hornets play the Rockville Rams (Rockville, MD) in a Montgomery 3A/2A North bout, on Thursday, January 4. Damascus will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
