Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) and the visiting Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), saw Cherokee's basketball squad wallop Highlands by a tally of 78-37.

With the victory, Cherokee improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Braves host Nantahala (Topton, NC) to confront the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 10. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 2-6.

Next, the Highlanders encounter the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 10. Highlands will attempt to advance on its 2-8 season record.
