The Juniata Valley Hornets basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Mount Union Trojans to 67 in the Hornets league victory on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Glendale for a non-league contest on Monday, January 9. Juniata Valley will battle a Vikings team coming off a 56-26 league win over Moshannon Valley (Houtzdale, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-6.

The Trojans (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Williamsburg (Williamsburg, PA). The Blue Pirates enter the Inter County - North match with a 5-4 record. In their last match, Williamsburg nudged Curwensville (Curwensville, PA), 61-45, in a league match.
