The Richmond Raiders (Rockingham, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC), 39-38 in Friday's league test.

The Raiders (5-8) will now prepare for their test against Lee County (Sanford, NC). The Yellow Jackets go into the 3A/4A Conference 24 test with a 9-2 record. In their last test, Lee County was tipped by Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC), 42-35, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 3-8 record. They play next when they host Hoke County for a 3A/4A Conference 24 test on Tuesday, January 10.
