The Mohawk Area Warriors football team (Bessemer, PA), was tipped 38-35 in Friday's league bout with the host New Brighton Lions (New Brighton, PA)

With the win, New Brighton advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Lions host Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA) to play the Tigers in a WPIAL AA Midwestern battle on Friday, October 10. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 2-4. Beaver Falls won 12-7 in their recent league battle against Freedom Area (Freedom, PA)
