New Mexico High School Volleyball - Wingate nudged by Newcomb

The Newcomb Skyhawks volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Wingate Bears to 2 in the Skyhawks league victory on Tuesday.

The Skyhawks now have a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tohatchi for a 3A District 1 game on Thursday, October 12. Newcomb will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 league win over Thoreau (Thoreau, NM). The Cougars record now stands at 9-2.

The Bears (2-12) will now prepare for their game against Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM). The Eagles enter the 3A District 1 game with a 7-8 record. In their last game, Navajo Prep got by Zuni (Zuni, NM), 3-0, in a league outing.
