November 7, 2023: Zuni, NM 87327 In Tuesday's league contest, the Zuni Thunderbirds (Zuni, NM) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Newcomb Skyhawks (Newcomb, NM), by a margin of 3-1.
Next up, the Thunderbirds battle the Tohatchi Cougars (Tohatchi, NM) in a 3A District 1 contest, on Thursday, November 9. Zuni will attempt to better on its 7-15 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 19-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM).
With the loss, Newcomb moves to 8-14 on the year. The Skyhawks travel to Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM) to battle the Eagles in a 3A District 1 contest on Thursday, November 9. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 12-9. Navajo Prep won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Crownpoint (Crownpoint, NM)
