Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview over Whitmer
October 10, 2023: Sylvania, OH 43560 In Tuesday's league contest, the Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH) volleyball squad were winner over the visiting Whitmer Panthers (Toledo, OH), by a margin of 3-1.
Next up, the Wildcats face the Anthony Wayne Generals (Whitehouse, OH) in a Northern Lakes contest, on Thursday, October 12. Northview will attempt to better on its 13-7 season record. The Generals go into the contest with a 19-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Perrysburg (Perrysburg, OH).
With the loss, Whitmer moves to 6-14 on the year. The Panthers travel to Ottawa Hills (Toledo, OH) to face the Green Bears in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 12. Match Summary
SYLVANIA - Tonight featured the first annual Silent Set Night to support Chasing Greatness and both Whitmer and Northview certainly made it a night to remember. Northview was victorious over the Panthers, 3-1 and this victory moves Northview to 13-7 overall, 9-4 NLL (4-3 in the Buckeye Division).
Leading for Northview was senior middle blocker, Claire Smith, with a team high 9 kills, hitting .412 and 3 blocks. Northview also received 10 kills a piece from Hannah Davis and Natalie Kerchevall. Defensively, Northview was dominant with 19 digs from Jordyn Pakulski and 11 from Paige LaBudda. Kerchevall added 12 assists and Hannah Schoen added 20.
Northview returns to action on Thursday as they host Senior & Parents Night for the Northview Volleyball Class of 2024. Freshman at 4:45 P.M, JV at approximately 6:00 P.M. and Varsity to follow.
