October 13, 2022: Taylorsville, NC 28681 The Ashe County Huskies volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Alexander Central Cougars to 0 in the Huskies league victory on Thursday.
The Huskies now have a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A game on Monday, October 17. Ashe County will meet a Pioneers team coming off a 3-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 19-2.
The Cougars (7-11) will now prepare for their game against Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Patriots enter the Northwestern 3A/4A game with a 1-20 record. In their last game, Freedom dropped by Watauga (Boone, NC), 3-0, in a league game.
