North Carolina High School Volleyball - Hibriten edged by Alexander Central

The Alexander Central Cougars held off the host Hibriten Panthers volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Wednesday's league test.

The Cougars now have a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashe County for a Northwestern 3A/4A test on Thursday, October 13. Alexander Central will confront a Huskies team coming off a 3-0 league win over South Caldwell (Hudson, NC). The Huskies record now stands at 13-1.

The Panthers (11-9) will now prepare for their test against Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, Draughn was nudged by Rosman (Rosman, NC), 3-1, in a league test.
