The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the visiting Triton Hawks (Erwin, NC), witnessed Union Pines's football team bounce Triton by a final score of 56-0.

With the win, Union Pines advances its record to 7-1 on the season. The Vikings travel to Lee County (Sanford, NC) to encounter the Yellow Jackets in a Carolina Pines 6A bout on Friday, October 24. The Yellow Jackets go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Lee County won 33-19 in their recent league battle against Harnett Central (Angier, NC)

The Hawks now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to South Johnston for a Carolina Pines 6A battle on Thursday, October 23. Triton will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 35-0 league win over Western Harnett (Lillington, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 5-3.
