October 2, 2025: Gulf Shores, AL 36542 South Baldwin Christian Academy Knights (Gulf Shores, AL) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Pensacola Area Homeschool Phoenix (Pensacola, FL), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, South Baldwin Christian Academy improves its record to 7-6 on the season.
The Phoenix now own a 1-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Varsity Opponent for a challenge on Tuesday, October 7.
Match Summary
Facing the Lady Knights' Varsity team, we ran into much stronger hitting by our opponents. We maintained a great service game, at 90%, and also a solid serve receiving game, at 70%. But missing one of our "Twin Towers" - So. Elliana O'Neil - we had a diminished presence at the net, leaving ourselves open to spikes. Our girls maintained steady play and good communication, though, and even kept the 3rd set close; but the Knights were ultimately able to maintain their edge throughout the match and douse the Phoenix fire.
