The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the La Porte Slicers (La Porte, IN) and the host Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN), witnessed La Porte's football squad edge Chesterton by a tally of 20-17.

The Slicers (4-6) will now prepare for their contest against Michigan City (Michigan City, IN). The Wolves enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, Michigan City nudged Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN), 35-7, in a non-league bout.
