The Carson Cougars football team (China Grove, NC), was ripped 37-0 in Friday's league challenge with the host Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC)

The Trojans (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Concord (Concord, NC). The Spiders come into the South Piedmont 3A challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Concord trounced South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 38-3, in a league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they host East Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A challenge on Friday, October 13. Carson will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 34-23 league loss to Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-7.
