Hanover Central Wildcats (Cedar Lake, IN) fans went home pleased Tuesday as they observed their basketball team edge the visiting Highland Trojans (Highland, IN), 49-45 in a league challenge.

The Wildcats (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Newton (Morocco, IN). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, North Newton was tipped by River Forest (Hobart, IN), 44-16, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) in a Northwest Crossroads challenge, on Friday, November 22. Highland will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record. The Kougars come into the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 61-26 non-league loss to Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN).
