Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Desert Ridge Jaguars (Mesa, AZ), 38-20 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Mountain Pointe upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Pride host Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ) to play the Aztecs in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 1. The Aztecs come into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Jaguars play the Corona del Sol Aztecs (Tempe, AZ) in a 6A Central bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Desert Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Aztecs come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 50-22 non-league win over Basha (Chandler, AZ).
