North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host North Henderson Knights (Hendersonville, NC), 68-62 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Buncombe upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Black Hawks travel to Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-1. Smoky Mountain lost 64-54 in their recent non-league bout against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 2. North Henderson will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 58-54 non-league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
