The North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) basketball felled the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC), 74-62 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Black Hawks (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Black Knights go into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, Robbinsville thwarted Highlands (Highlands, NC), 61-27, in a league test.

The Mustangs now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Pisgah for a 3A Conference 54 test on Friday, December 9. Smoky Mountain will encounter a Bears squad coming off a 75-54 non-league loss to Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 1-3.
