The Great Mills Hornets basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Chopticon Braves to 63 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Calvert for a Southern Maryland game on Monday, December 9. Great Mills will confront a Cavaliers team coming off a 59-51 league loss to Northern (Owings, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Chopticon falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Braves host Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to confront the Wolverines in a Southern Maryland game on Monday, December 9. The Wolverines go into the game with a record of 1-0. Westlake won 43-40 in their recent league game against Thomas Stone (Waldorf, MD)
