Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon sneaks past Westlake

The Chopticon Braves (Morganza, MD) basketball edged the visiting Westlake Wolverines (Waldorf, MD), 51-48 in Monday's league bout.

The Braves now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Leonardtown for a Southern Maryland bout on Friday, December 13. Chopticon will play a Raiders team coming off a 68-48 non-league win over King George (King George, VA). The Raiders record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Westlake falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to North Point (Waldorf, MD) to play the Eagles in a Southern Maryland bout on Wednesday, December 11. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 1-1. North Point won 51-49 in their recent non-league bout against Annapolis (Annapolis, MD)
