The Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) basketball edged the visiting South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC), 67-62 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Bearcats now possess a 6-0 record. They play next when they travel to Chesterfield for a non-league bout on Friday, December 13. Anson will play a Golden Rams team coming off a 63-23 non-league loss to Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC). The Golden Rams record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, South Stanly falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Rowdy rebel bulls travel to West Stanly (Oakboro, NC) to play the Colts in a non-league bout on Friday, December 13.
