Match Summary
This game was an un-pretty disaster--for us--from its beginning to its shortened (thankfully), yet slow-in-coming ending. This was the possibly first game ever—at least in recent memory--that Leon's JV had been mercy-ruled by halftime. And it's very likely the first time a Leon JV team had been mercy-ruled twice in the same season by the same opponent. The rout began quickly, in the 7th minute with their first goal, followed by additional scores in the 9th, 11th, 14th, 26th, 29th, 30th, and 35th minutes. Though we never gave up, we could do nothing to slow their superior play. While Ava did save 5 of their 13 shots on goal, we had nothing to offer in countering, save our one shot on goal by Audrey.
