Game Summary
We had a few first-half excellent chances to take the lead, with no payoff. In the 14th m. Za’Nyah was egregiously whammed in the box, whereupon Ava Rose lined up for a penalty kick. Her boot, sadly, found their keeper’s breadbox for an easy save. Five minutes later Ava Rose lifted a nicely-placed cross to the front of the area headed Jasmine’s way--but just barely out of her each, so again, no cigar, and the half ended with both teams at nil. A minute into the second, another great pass from Ava Rose was directed to Juliana, whose attempt was off-mark. We finally struck home in the 53rd m. when Player of the Game Jasmine‘s pass to Ava Rose was rammed past their keeper to the lower left 90 from 20 yd out. It was the game-winner, and with good efforts from Aliyah and Alexis in shutting down most of their advances, along with Ava’s adept snagging of their 5 shots on goal, we were pleased to earn our fourth win of the season.
