Missouri High School Basketball - Excelsior Springs overwhelmed by Winnetonka
December 12, 2023: Kansas City, MO 64119 The Winnetonka Griffins basketball team scored 81 points and restricted the visiting Excelsior Springs Tigers to 17 in the Griffins non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Griffins now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belton for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Winnetonka will battle a Pirates team coming off a 62-38 league loss to Grain Valley (Grain Valley, MO). The Pirates record now stands at 1-5.
The Tigers (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Plattsburg (Plattsburg, MO). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Plattsburg triumphed over East Buchanan (Gower, MO), 85-78, in a non-league contest.
