The Franklin Panthers basketball team scored 91 points and held the host Tuscola Mountaineers to 39 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pisgah for a 3A Conference 54 contest on Friday, December 16. Franklin will meet a Bears team coming off a 80-62 non-league win over Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Bears record now stands at 3-3.

The Mountaineers (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Madison (Marshall, NC). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Madison triumphed over Mitchell (Bakersville, NC), 52-39, in a league contest.
